Capacity development and institutional strengthening
Our business model is the plan we implement to generate revenue and make a profit from operations. The model includes the components and functions of the business, as well as the revenues it generates and the expenses it incurs. For instance, we make revenue (or try to) by providing high quality and low-cost project management training (almost free) service to the public and then hiring out our expertise (staff) for an agreed payment to most other training companies. In practice, a  business model is used for a broad range of informal and formal descriptions to represent core aspects of a business, including purpose, business process, target customers, offerings, strategies, trading practices, and operational processes and policies.
Our People
Our people are Depromat’s principal asset as we do not own significant machinery or proprietary technology. Our continued success depends on our people and the way in which they deliver for our customers, every day, around the continent. It is vital that we continue to attract, develop and retain skilled employees. We work hard to achieve this and are successful. For example, this year we have successfully recruited to support our business in the Republic of South Africa including working on significant hook-up and commissioning work in the Republic of Ghana. Despite this, in some of our geographies our growth has been constrained by the availability of skilled people. Furthermore, in the past years we have increased our efforts to improve the effectiveness of our people – in particular focusing on increasing the collaboration between offices, between teams, between different sectors and between geographies. We are already seeing the benefits of this approach and it will continue to be a priority until 2020 and beyond.   Read more...
Our Clientele
We have a wide range of clients and work for some of the Africa’s largest corporations and government bodies, training, planning, designing and managing critical projects. Our clients expect us deliver excellence every day. We are very proud of our reputation – and the high proportion of repeat business we generate. We work very hard to develop long-term and professional relationships with our clients. The strength and longevity of our relationships also reflects our shared values – including integrity and never compromising on safety. We start each project with a new client with the expectation that we can develop it into a long-term relationship. We know that if we do good work for a client, we will win more good work.
Our Expertise
In each market or sector, the range of services provided to our clients is similar. We are experts in designing, planning, delivering and managing strategic and complex projects, offering total life of project support from feasibility planning right through to implementation. Since 2011 we have been focused on maximising growth opportunities, by ensuring the widest range of Depromat services is provided in each of our three main branches. The “Putting You On Track & In Control Of Projects” is a very simple concept. It is fundamentally about improving the way we deliver project management training and consulting services to clients, using best practices. It is not ‘one size fits all’ – it is flexible and scalable so can be adapted to all sectors. Collaboration between our people is a key differentiator in a competitive market place and we need to provide our clients with the best we have to offer.    Read full story.

Is my project being run properly?
Are you a Project Sponsor with an IT project that is over budget and running late? Maybe you are a CIO and the reporting you are receiving from a key strategic IT program is raising more questions than it is answering. Or you may be the head of a business unit and your strategic plan is wholly dependent on the success of a key program and you need to know that it is being run properly.

Is best practice being utilised in my project?
These days business and technology executives are being driven to deliver more through their IT enabled business transformation projects for less funding than in previous years.
This means it is essential that organisations apply best practice project management methods to ensure they successfully deliver their projects on time and on-budget. In addition it’s crucial that the projects deliver the business benefits that they promised in their original business case.
Seven Consulting is uniquely positioned to assist you to ensure best practice project management methods are being utilised as:

My IT project is running late and/or over budget
Some 61% of all IT projects are delivered significantly late or cancelled. Seven Consulting is experienced at coming into an organisation and rescuing challenged projects.
Seven Consulting can assist you in two ways. We can help you regain control of your project by undertaking a Project Review and advising you on recovery options. Alternatively we can undertake the turnaround of the project on your behalf through our IT Project or Program Recovery services.
My systems integrator is not delivering
Corporate history is littered with example of major IT Projects that failed due to conflict between a Customer and their Systems Integrator (SI). System Integration Services Agreements are often unwieldy as lawyers attempt to cater for every potential point of dispute but despite this effort conflict often result.
Seven Consulting has proven success in managing the delivery from a SI on behalf of our clients. All Seven Consulting Consultants are seasoned professionals who utilise industry-leading project management frameworks to manage the SI through to success.

I don't have a full visibility into the progress, issues and challenges of my program
There are many programs out there in which, due to lack of efficient processes to collect real time information, senior managers have to rely on verbal exchange of information rather than comprehensive, effective periodic reports.
Seven Consulting expertise in designing, building and implementing processes within Program Management Office, such as weekly or monthly reporting, can help you to ensure that real time information is captured and passed on to different levels of management and stakeholders within each interval. Read more about this and other benefits your program can have within PMO space by engaging Seven Consulting, in Program Office Management (PMO).
I want to make the right outsourcing decision
Successful Outsourcing deals can result in substantial cost savings, improved service levels, reduced risk and can free scarce resources to concentrate on core business activity.
However, for every successful deal, there are more that fail. Many consumers experience no cost savings, many more feel that their contracts are unenforceable and more than half of all outsource contracts are never renewed.
Seven Consulting’s consultants have led some of the largest outsourcing and offshoring transactions in Australia over the past 15 years. Clients including CBA, EDS, Tenix, Caltex, Vodafone and Optus have benefited from our experience and pragmatic approach. We are independent. We have significant experience working with all Tier #1 and many Tier #2 outsourcing providers, but have no ties to any of them.
